Recognition and achievements

Finalist recognition built by committed teams.

I have had the privilege of leading two programmes that reached finalist stage: an AXA Travel Insurance onboarding programme in 2023 and an apprenticeship programme at Reigate & Banstead Borough Council in 2026.

What the recognition means

No silverware. Still something worth celebrating.

Neither evening ended with a trophy in our hands. That does not take away from the achievement.

Reaching finalist stage recognised the hard work, persistence and care of colleagues across both organisations. Strong programmes are never the work of one person. My role was to provide direction, connect the different parts, support the people delivering the work and keep the programme focused on the experience and outcomes that mattered.

Finalist recognition belongs to the people who turn a plan into a real experience for learners, managers and teams.

Programme achievements

Two organisations. Two different challenges. The same commitment to useful learning.

Each finalist programme required strategy, practical delivery, stakeholder support and sustained attention to the learner experience.

LPI Learning Awards: Apprenticeship Programme of the Year

I led the team behind an apprenticeship programme shortlisted as a finalist for Apprenticeship Programme of the Year at the LPI Learning Awards 2026.

The programme brought together levy planning, provider management, learner and manager support, internal communication, career pathways and evidence of impact. The recognition reflected the commitment of colleagues, managers, providers and, most importantly, the employees undertaking their apprenticeships alongside their day jobs.

AXA Travel Insurance

Onboarding Programme of the Year finalist, 2023

I led the AXA Travel Insurance onboarding programme that was shortlisted as a finalist for Onboarding Programme of the Year in 2023.

The work focused on creating a clearer, more consistent journey into the organisation, connecting learning design with operational readiness, manager involvement, trainer capability and the experience of new starters. The finalist place recognised the collective effort of the L&D team, operational colleagues, subject matter experts, managers, trainers and the people joining the business.

What sits behind the recognition

Programme leadership from idea to evidence.

01

Diagnose the real need

Clarify the workforce, performance or learner problem before deciding what the programme should contain.

02

Connect the system

Bring together managers, operations, subject experts, providers, finance, data and communications.

03

Design the experience

Create a journey people can understand, access, apply and complete rather than a collection of disconnected events.

04

Support delivery

Give trainers, managers and learners the guidance, resources and routes for help needed to keep progress moving.

05

Use evidence

Combine feedback, completion, operational insight and human stories to understand quality and impact.

06

Share the credit

Recognise that programme success depends on the commitment of people across the organisation, not one individual.

Share the challenge, the audience and what good needs to look like. I can help diagnose the need, shape the journey and build practical support around delivery and impact.
